Braceville fire chief reports increase in generator fires

BRACEVILLE — With the recent power outages caused by severe storms the past two weekends, the Braceville Fire Department has seen an increase in fire calls due to generators catching fire. Fire Chief Todd Garland said at Tuesday’s trustees meeting that residents need to be careful when using generators during a power outage. “We had three structure fires this past week caused by portable generators.
