Durham, N.C. — The Durham Bulls fell to 0-2 on the season after a 13-4 loss to the Norfolk Tides on Saturday.
After scoring four times in the third inning, the Tides scored multiple runs in the final three innings to gain separation.
Right fielder Ruben Cardenas homered twice for Durham and had four RBI.
Josh Lester hit three home runs for Norfolk and drove in five runs in a stellar day for the first baseman. Eduard Bazardo got the win on the mound for Norfolk, who also won Friday night’s season-opening game.
